Indigo Manulife was a cozy place for lots of little ones to curl up earlier today for Story Time. I got to share Hoogie and Tweezle with the cutest group of listeners, some of whom confessed to be “Hoogies”, “Tweezles” and “Pumpkins” themselves.

Drew Stewart, who organized the event, provided a wonderful space for me to share my stories and I was delighted to find not only abundant stock of Hoogie in the Middle and Tweezle into Everything, but also of my older titles, Chicken Cat and Leon’s Song. Drew runs a truly fantastic Kids’ section … it was such fun to be there. Indigo team member  Sylvia (aka author Gossamer Penwyche) is single-handedly putting Leon’s Song into Toronto households through her amazing endorsement (thank you!)

I had the pleasure of reading and signing all of my books, sharing stories of the real Hoogie, Tweezle and Pumpkin, real-life chicken cats and strange facts about frogs. Can’t think of a better way to have spent this rainy day in the city. (And thanks to amazing Pajama Press Publicity Diva Erin Woods for always being there. Check out her amazing Mud Bucket Parfait, created in honour of Tweezle, on the Pajama Press blog here).
