More Than 700 Authors to Take Part in Indies First

DSC_0006Saturday, November 30 (yes, less than a week away) is the annual celebration of Indies First – a day when authors get a chance to be superheros for the Independent bookstores that support them by showing up and hand-selling books.

I will be at Ella Minnow Children’s Bookstore (1915 Queen Street East — see map here) slinging books on Nov. 30 between 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. along with some other authors and illustrators.

While I’d love you to buy copies of Hoogie and Tweezle for all the little ones on your Christmas list when you drop by, you may be aware that I am also in love with many, many books across all age ranges. I read all levels of children’s books all the time (from picture book to YA) and am passionate about many titles I’ll happily tell you about. After all, I did write the children’s book reviews for Today’s Parent magazine for many years. Here’s a list of the top 100 children’s books of all time that I compiled for Today’s Parent a few years ago.

Ella Minnow (i.e. L-M-N-O) is a fantastic place to get your Christmas shopping done as they sell a wide array of books, toys and games for kids.

Hope to see you there!
