Very excited to learn today that The Sorry Life of Timothy Shmoe has been shortlisted for the FLA Children’s Book Award in the Grade 3-5 category.
P.S. Also kind of tickled to be featured beside one of Eugenie Fernandes’ books as we read (re-read and re-read) and loved so many of her books when my kids were little.
The FLA Children’s Book Award was created by the Florida Literacy Association (FLA) to create a love for reading in the elementary grades throughout all counties in the state of Florida. Each year titles with varying genres that are accessible for pre-K – 2nd grades and 3rd – 5th grades are reviewed and 10 book for each grade band are selected as finalists. During the months of September 2022 to March 2023, teachers and/or students must read at least 7 out of the 10 books for their grade band and vote for their favorite.
